Roman Shades
Romans, with their beautiful folds are available in an array of fabric styles. From woven woods, to silks or suedes, this timeless shade will lend an elegance and sophistication to formal as well as casual spaces! Romans are available in the flat or hobbled styles with the option of going top down/ bottom up, cordless and in some cases you can even coordinate roller shades and panel tracks in the same fabrics for other windows.
For those that like the look of the Roman but wish it had a bit more of a contemporary look, take a look at the Vignette or Pirouette by Hunter Douglas. The Vignette operates on a roller system, meaning that the fabric hides away nicely into a cassette rather than hanging as a more traditional valence. The Pirouette does the same thing with the added bonus of being able to lift up the pleats to reveal a sheer fabric. The other advantage to these two blinds is the option in lift systems. You can go with a continuous cord loop, a retractable cord, or even go cordless!
